Iron Man and the power cosmic
I thought this would be a good article to come clean about something; I am an Iron Man fan. I have been a reader most of my life. My love of Iron Man goes back to one of my favorite rappers Ghostface Killer of the Wu-Tang Clan. His animated music videos mixed the old-style Iron Man comics and lore. I loved the mix of intelligence, know-how, swagger mixed in an arrogant ladies’ man. Anyways, I should get to the point of the article I want to share with you or review the latest issue.
This story was one of my favorite stories in a while. Iron Man’s arc concluded at issue 16 when Tony Returns after defeating Korvac (a God-like android searching for the power cosmic) and wielding the power cosmic himself. If you listened to my description of him being arrogant that power comes with a new problem; what will Tony do with the power? When Cosmic Iron Man returns to earth, he is met by the other heroes, and they ask him what he will do? They were expecting a conflict, which given his personality was a possibility, but in his 16 arc journey, he seems reflective and takes his power seriously. He grew in his time leading a team to stop Korvac and helping the people he met on his journey, including the remote planet on which he saved the populace.
Tony’s reflection leads him to the decision to share his intellect with everyone. What could go wrong? It appears we are about to find out, and it appears Dr. Doom has will be the first to test our hero. If you found this interesting please support your local comic or book store and pick up an issue (let me know if I should review or produce more content on comics).
